Prom

Prom season is either right around the corner for many of us or already here so i decided to make a post about some of my favorite dresses and looks!
My dress is from BCBG maxazria and I'm absolutely obsessed! I went to the store here to find mine and they have so many cute options. I would advise going to any local boutique/bridal shop to look for dresses if you dont mind some of the prices. Prom dresses can be crazy expensive especially when you are getting more than one so i would suggest checking out Rent the Runway!
The looks I'm going to share with y'all can all be found on Rent the Runway for under $100 which is pretty awesome! With these looks RTR pairs accessories that other shoppers have paired with the gown for very reasonable prices. You can get the dresses for either four days or eight days for a fraction of the designer price! Here are a few of my favorite dresses that can look amazing on any body type & you get $25 off your first purchase!

Swing Dresses and Stripes

Hello everyone! This spring swing dresses have been getting very popular and naturally I decided to hop on board with the trend. Bloggers such as Devon Alana and Mackenzie Kendall  have been rocking them recently. These dresses are so comfy and easy to wear. They are perfect to dress up or down on any spring or summer day!
My favorites are from Asos, Shop RiffRaff, Lulus, and, i even found cute ones at old navy and american eagle. The one I'm wearing here is from old navy and i styled it with my jacks and a simple monogram necklace. They look so cute with long pendant necklaces such as these from Kendra Scott {1 2}  and booties as well.

how cute is my hospital bracelet?

Needlepointing

Since i posted these pictures of my needle point keychains a ton of people have been asking me how to do it sooo I'm going to give y'all a little step by step on making keychains!

Steps

1. First you want to figure out how big you want your key fob! keep in mind you will be folding it in half so make it twice as long (also had two/three stitches on the side because you have to fold it under)
2. Trace the shape of the key fob and the design you want onto the canvas (i do
3. Use a sharpie to color in the design, i like to use lighter colors so it doesn't show through the thread
4. Star stitching, i like doing the design first and then the background
5. After you have finished stitching cut it out leaving about 4 rows of canvas
6. Fold over the extra and do a finishing stitch around the edge in the same color as the background and here is a video on the finishing stitch
7. Cut out the fabric you are using as the backing for you keychain and sew it/use fabric glue to connect the two (i use fabric glue)
8. If you're using glue hold the two together for about a minute
9. Get out your clamps and place it on the end of the keychain
10. I like to put a paper towel/wash cloth over it and then use strong pliers to push it together
And now you have a needle point keychain!

Giveaway!

So now that I've shown you all this I'm going to be making one for one of y'all!! All you have to do is follow this blog and my tumblr and reblog this post on tumblr!!
Good luck!!

Lots of love,

Spring Essentials

Recently I've been getting a ton of questions on my tumblr about spring essentials so i decided i should make a post about it! It's already getting warmer here so my winter to spring transition has begun! Below are a few of my spring must haves

Seersucker, white jeans, printed sundresses/shorts are all perfect for spring. For the cooler days i love pairing simple oxfords with printed shorts and jacks! This is the perfect time to bring back pearls, baseball hats and, fun bags. A majority of these items can be worn year round but they're always my go to pieces at this time of year!
